Ingredients
3 lbs.boned short ribs
4 tbs. veg. oil
1 cup sliced onion
1 garlic clove
1 1/2 cups water
1 bay leaf
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 tbs. brown sugar
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup raisins
1 tsp. salt
salt, pepper, flour for dredging
Preparation
Cut ribs into serving pieces, removing excess fat. Dredge in seasoned flour and brown on all sides in hot veg. oil. Remove ribs and add onions and garlic. Fry until golden. Return ribs to pan. Combine rest of ingredients and add to ribs. Cover and cook until tender, about 2 1/2 hours. Serve over egg noodles.
