Ingredients

Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1/2 onion, grated

3/4 tsp salt

3/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp oregano

Sauce:

1 cup (8 oz) cranberrry sauce (the yuckie jelly kind)

1/2 cup hunts tomato sauce (from the can, not the jar kind)

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients and form into balls. In a largish pot (3 quart) combine all the ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Simmer over a LOW flame for 25-30 min, stirring often to keep smooth.
  3. Add the meatballs in, cover pot, and simmer for 1 hour.
