3 Tbl confectioner’s sugar for dusting

Finely grated zest from 1 lemon

1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Generous pinch cinnamon or five spice

dough - see original recipe or filo pastry (1/2 - 1 box)

butter, melted

Almond, finely ground

Additional add-ins to filling

Preparation

Mash chickpeas with a fork in bowl. Add jam, chocolate, sugar, zest, salt and spices; stir to combine; add other ingredients of used Heat oven to 350 with rack in middle (Line a baking sheet with parchment paper) Take 2 sheets filo pastry - brush with melted butter and dust with ground almonds Repeat twice. Put length of filling along one end, and roll, tucking in ends - should make 2 rolls Brush top with butter and bake Can also make turnover-size triangles, start by folding one filo sheet in half length-wise, and put filling in one corner. Fold over in triangles til end of filo
