Ingredients
1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, halved
6 bacon slices
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1 tbs butter
1 tbs brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Cook bacon in a medium skillet until very crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and place on paper towel to drain. Do not drain bacon drippings.
Add butter to skillet until melted on medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts flat side down and saute for a few minutes until they start to brown. Add chicken broth, garlic, and sugar.
Saute in skillet until broth is reduced and Brussels sprouts are tender, about 15 minutes. Crumble bacon on top, toss in pan, and serve.
