Ingredients
cumin
chili powder
salt
pepper
cayenne
1lb. 90% fat free ground meat
1lb. ground buffalo
1lb. ground turkey
2 cans rotel tomatoes
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 16 oz container of Medium Pace Picante sauce
1 can of beans (either kidney or black - I prefer black)
Preparation
- mix all the meat together
- Generously season the meat with cumin and chili powder two times (cover meat with seasoning, mix meat up so seasoning is throughout)
- Season the meat two more times with cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, cayenne (meat should be dark orange in color)
- Saute meat in cooking pot until brown and broken up
- Add remaining ingredients and water for desired consistency.
- Bring to boil
- Reduce fire to medium/low, cook for 2 hours stirring occasionally
- Recommend eating with grated cheddar cheese and corn bread.
