Ingredients
Dressing
1/2 cup oil
3 TBSP red wine vinegar
1 TBSP lemon juice
2 Tsp sugar
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp dry mustard
1 glove garlic, crushed
Salad:
1/2 cup sunflower seeds - raw
1/2 cup slivered almonds - raw
1 head leaf or 2 heads butter lettuce
(I have made this with mixed baby greens as well)
2 green onions finely chopped
1 - 10 oz can mandarin oranges drained or 2 fresh mandarins (even better)
1 ripe Avocado, peeled and sliced
Preparation
Combine dressing ingredients in a jar - Shake to blend.
Toast nuts until brown, then cool. Prepare the remaining ingreadients, add cooled nuts.
Add dressing to taste.
