Ingredients
2 lbs. ground beef, browned
8 c. water
28 oz. can diced tomatoes*
28 oz. can tomato sauce
2 c. prepared long grain rice
2c. green peppers, chopped
2 cubes beef bouillon
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 t. salt
1 t. pepper
I usually use petite diced tomatoes
Preparation
Mix together all ingredients in a stockpot*; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until green peppers are tender. Serves 8 to 10.
*Use at least a 6 quart stockpot.
