one pound very lean hamburger

ten slices of bread grated into crumbs

ten med

sized banana peppers

sliced lenth wise and clean seeds out;2 tbs italian seasoning

2 tbs orengano

4 large ripe fresh tomatoes

Preparation

place peppers in long shallow baking dish,,place under broiler for 15, min,remove and let cool.combine,meat,bread crumbs, 2 eggs, and one tbl of both spices..fill peppers with mixture and bake for 30 mins, at 350*,,meanwhile place tomatoes in a sauce pan, and cook on med high heat add remaining spices, when sauce consistancy, remove from heat, after 30 mins is up, remove peppers from oven and place a slice of cheese on top of each and spoon sauce over each and bake an additional 10, min
