Ingredients

1 quart strawberries, washed, stemmed, halved

1/4 cup sugar (see above)

3 tablespoons aceto balsamico vinegar

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 quart vanilla ice cream

Preparation

Place strawberries in a bowl. Sprinkle with sugar, vinegar and pepper. Toss until well combined. Let stand 1 hour or all day. Use as a topping for ice cream.
