Ingredients
1 Pkg. Dry Yeast
1/8 cup Warm Water
1 cup Scalded Milk
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. Shortening
2 Eggs
2-3 cups Flour
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1/2 cup brown Sugar
1/8 cup Margarine
1 Tbsp. Corn Syrup
1/8 Cup Water
Preparation
Soak yeast in warm water. Meanwhile, scald milk and add sugar, salt and shortening. Cool mixture until lukewarm. Add yeast and eggs to the milk mixture
Add 2 cups flour. Add more flour to make a soft dough. Knead mixture until smooth and elastic. Let rise 45 minutes.
Roll out dough into rectangular shape. Spread melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon over the dough. Roll up dough and cut into 3/4 - 1 inch pieces.
Mix all topping ingredients and heat until sugar is well dissolved. Pour topping into two greased 8" cake pans. Place sticky buns onto the topping and let rise for one hour.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Excellent sliced in half and grilled for breakfast.
