Ingredients
2 C. soy or almond milk
1/2 C. water
1/2 C. unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 C. nutritional yeast flakes
2 T. soy sauce or Tamari
2 T sherry or dry red wine
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in blender until creamy. Pour into saucepan and bring to slow boil, stirring continually. Beat continually with wire whisk as you lower heat and cook until thick, hot & bubbly (about 5 minutes) Stir in the sherry or wine and serve.
