Ingredients
12 ounce bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
2-3 tablespoons of orange liqueur (Such as Cointreau)
2-3 tablespoons of spiced rum
Zest from 1 large Orange
1 tablespoon - chopped candied ginger
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
Pinch Allspice
Pinch Nutmeg
Preparation
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan.
- Simmer over medium heat until berries pop about 10 min
- Simmer another 5-10- min depending on the consistency you wish to achieve…Sauce will thicken when cool
- Remove cinnamon sticks
- Cool to room temperature
- Cover and refrigerate
- ENJOY with your turkey or over Brie.
