Ingredients

1 French Bread

1 lb. ground breakfast sausage

1 T. Dijon mustard

1 small can waterchestnuts, chopped

2 tsp. poppy seeds

1 cup grated cheese, such as Cheddar or Monterey Jack

1/2 cup Bacon Bits

Butter Flavored Pam Spray

Preparation

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Slice bread into 2 inch sections to within 1/2 inch of bottom of loaf, making “pockets”.

Brown sausage. Drain and add rest of ingredients. Fill pockets with mixture. Spray loaf with Butter Flavor Pam, wrap with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.

Slice bread between pockets and serve.
