Ingredients
1 teaspoon butter
1 small onion, diced
1/8-1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup diced fresh basil
Preparation
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and red pepper for 5-7 minutes or until onion is soft. Add undrained tomatoes and increase heat to boil. Boil 7-8 minutes or until most of the liquid is gone. Add cream, cook 1 minute or until heated through. Add basil and serve over fresh pasta.
