Ingredients

1 pound okra–fresh or frozen with tips chopped off

2 onions– sliced lengthwise

2 tomatoes

Spices in powder form: chilli powder, 1 tsp. turmeric 1/2 tsp. coriander powder, 1 tsp. cumin powder 1 tsp, garam masala 1 tsp, 1/2 tsp. pepper.

2 tbsp. oil for frying (canola)

Preparation

  1. Fry the onions till translucent.
  2. Fry the okra
  3. Add tomatoes after a couple of minutes of frying the okra.
  4. Add the spices and salt to taste.
  5. Cook for 30 mins with 2 cups of water till they evaporate.
  6. Add a dash of pepper at the end.
