Ingredients
1/2 C. butter, softened
1/2 C. butter flavored shortening
1 C. light brown sugar
1/2 C. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
3 C. rolled quick oat meal
1 C. raisins
Chocolate chips, optional
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream together butter, butter flavored shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Stir in the oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto the ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 min. in 350 degrees until light and golden. Do not over bake. Let them cool for 2 min. before removing from cookie sheets to cool completely on wire racks. Store iln airtight container or freeze in plastic containers.
