Ingredients

1 lb. large shrimp, peeled, devained (optional) with tail intact

8 minced garlic cloves

2 medium shallots minced

2 T ground black pepper

1 T kosher salt

Zest and juice of 1 lemon

8 fresh thyme sprigs

2 T worcestershire sauce

2 T hot sauce

3/4 C dark beer

4 T butter

Preparation

Combine shrimp, garlic, shallots, pepper, salt, zest, juice, thyme sprigs, worcestershire, hot sauce and beer in a large bowl. Cover and chill/marinate for 1 to 6 hours. Heat a 12 inch skillet and add 2 T butter and the shrimp and marinade all at once, stirring constantly. Cook 4 minutes until shrimp is pink and garlic is golden brown. Remove shrimp and stir in remaining 2 T butter. Spoon sauce over shrimp and serve with crusty bread.
