Ingredients
3 cups of flour
1/4 cup of sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1teaspon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup chopped figs
1 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
2 cups of buttermilk
1/2 cup oil
Preparation
Heat oven to 350. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda,, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl. Sir in pecans , figs , and oats . Stir in Milk until incorperarted .
Pour the mixture into a greased 9/5 loaf pan. Bake until puffed and golden about 1 hour. Check center with toothpick. Cool on a rack until just warm before sclicing.
