Ingredients

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1-2 tsp chopped fresh thyme

two 1-inch-thick rib or loin pork chops (about 1/2 pound each)

Preparation

Combine all ingredients except pork and mix well. Marinate the pork in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.

Remove the pork, reserving marinade, and cook in a grill pan or on the grill. Put the marinade in a small saucepan, simmer and reduce until a few tablespoons remain and sauce is thickened. Pour over pork chops while serving.
