Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp. walnut oil

1 tbsp. fresh grated ginger

1 large clove finely minced garlic

1 tbsp. sugar

2 lb. asparagus

1/3 cup toasted and coarsely chopped walnuts

dried red pepper flakes to taste

Preparation

  1. Steam asparagus to tender-crisp and immediately chill.
  2. Mix soy and walnut oil. Stir in sugar.
  3. Add all other ingredients, mix and serve chilled as a appetizer or side dish.
