Ingredients
1 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
2 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Freshly grated nugmet, to taste
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup dark raisins
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier (optional)
2 large cooking apples, peeled, cored, quartered, then cut into thirds
Preparation
Set the oven at 325 degrees. Butter an 11-by-y inch baking dish or another dish with a 2-1/2 quart capacity. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Stir and transfer to the prepared dish. Cook the mixture in the hot oven for 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, or until all the fruit is tender and the mixture is dense and jam. Cool, then cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve.
