Ingredients
1 cup strong brewed coffee
2 cups whole milk (very hot)
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (grated or powdered)
1 star anise
5-8 cloves
dot of anise extract (a little goes a long way)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
2-4 tsp. white sugar
Preparation
First, brew your coffee. Next, in a samll pot simmer the milk, cloves, star anise and anise extract, nutmeg, cinnamon powder and cinnamon sticks, vanilla extract and sugar. Let milk simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse all the flavors of the spices. Then, when your coffee is done brewing, in a cup, put half coffee and half spiced milk mixture. With the remaining milk get out your hand emulsifier and emulsify milk until fluffy, frothy and light.
