Ingredients
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground cloves
3/4 tsp ginger
Preparation
- Mix together thoroughly shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses.
- Sift mix thoroughly.
- Form balls, size of small walnuts 2" apart.
- Grease pan and bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
- Roll in powdered sugar.
