Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/4 cup molasses

2 cup flour

1/4 tsp salt

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

3/4 tsp ground cloves

3/4 tsp ginger

Preparation

  1. Mix together thoroughly shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses.
  2. Sift mix thoroughly.
  3. Form balls, size of small walnuts 2" apart.
  4. Grease pan and bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Roll in powdered sugar.
