Ingredients

300g Flour

3 Eggs

100-200ml Water/Milk mixture

1/2 tsp Salt

optional add one of the following to the dough:

Fresh Herbs

Chopped Spinach

Different types of grated Vegetables

Tomato paste

Preparation

  1. Add flour to a large bowl and make a depression in the middle.

  2. add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well combined and bubbles appear.

  3. Let stand at room temperature for 30min.

  4. Bring a large pot of water with salt and veg. oil to a boil.

4.Place special Speatzle pan or colander with large holes on top of pot.

  1. Add portions of the dough to the colander/pan and press through the holes into the boiling water using a spatula.

  2. Once Speatzle float on the surface remove with slotted spoon, allow to drain and transfer to warm plate.

Add Grated swiss cheese and fried onions.
