Ingredients
18 oz tomato paste (Contadina)
1 1/2 lbs of hamburger or ground round
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
1 medium sized onion, chopped fine
1/2 fresh green pepper chopped fine
1 pint mushrooms chopped fine
1 tbs salt
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp oregano, crushed between hands
Can add meat balls or vegetables for variation
Preparation
Saute green pepper, then onion, finally ground meat in a large pot. Pour out grease and water.
Add the rest of the ingredients. Add 15 oz of water. Bring to a simmer and cook until desired thickness - 1/2 hour to 2 hours.
